Questions We Get

If yours isn’t here, call or text (916) 597-0257 and ask.

Getting a price

How much does it cost?
Depends on window count, height, access, and the condition of the glass. Send four photos, one of each side of your house, and we’ll send back a real number. How quotes work →

Why won’t you just post prices?
Because a range wide enough to be honest is too wide to help you. A single story in Gold River and a two story in El Dorado Hills with glass over the staircase aren’t the same job.

Is there a minimum charge?
No.

Do you charge for quotes?
No.

Can the price change after you get here?
Only if the glass is worse than the photos showed, which usually means hard water buildup. We tell you before we start, not after we finish.

How do I pay?
Cash, check, ACH, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Apple Pay, PayPal, Venmo, or Affirm if you’d rather pay over time.

Scheduling

What are your hours?
7am to 6pm Monday through Friday, plus Saturday appointments.

How far ahead should I book?
Call and we’ll tell you what we’ve got. If you’re working toward a listing date or an event, more notice is better.

Do I need to be home?
Not for exterior only work, as long as we can get into the yard and the gates are unlocked. Interior work needs someone to let us in.

What happens if it rains?
Clean glass stays clean through rain, so a forecast isn’t a reason to reschedule. We work around actual weather.

Can I skip or move a recurring visit?
Yes. Tell us and we’ll shift it.

The work itself

What’s included in a window cleaning?
Both sides of the glass, tracks, sills, and screens. Mirrors if you ask. And a walkthrough of every window before we leave. Full details →

Do you clean the tracks?
Yes, every window. It’s the part most companies skip.

Are screens included?
Usually. We take them out, clean them on site, and put each one back in the window it came from.

Do you move furniture?
We move what’s in the way and put it back. Heavy or fragile things we’d rather you moved or told us to work around.

Can you reach my second story?
Yes, usually with a water fed pole from the ground rather than a ladder. High and vaulted windows →

Can you reach the glass above my staircase?
Yes. Tell us the ceiling height and what’s underneath so we come prepared.

What if I find a spot after you leave?
Call us. We’ll come back and fix it.

Hard water

What’s the white cloudy film on my windows?
Mineral deposit from sprinkler water drying on the glass. It’s not dirt and a standard cleaning won’t remove it.

Can you get it off?
Depends. Feel the glass. If you can feel texture, it’s sitting on the surface and it comes off. If it’s smooth but still cloudy, the glass is etched and nothing cleans that back to clear.

How fast does it build up?
Within a day or two of the sprinklers hitting the glass.

How do I stop it?
Keep the glass on a regular schedule so buildup never gets thick, and aim your sprinkler heads away from the house. More on hard water

Can you fix etched glass?
No. It can be resurfaced by polishing, which is expensive, and we don’t do that work. We’ll refer you.

What we don’t do

Screen repair or replacement. We clean screens. Tears, bent frames, and rescreening we refer out.

Glass polishing or resurfacing. Referred out.

Roof washing. No.

Solar panels. No. We clean solar screens, which are the mesh over your windows, not the panels on your roof.

Kitchens. For restaurants we do front of house glass only.

High-rise or rope access. We’re two people with a water fed pole. Low and mid-rise only.

About us

Who will show up?
Alex and Molly. Same two people every time.

Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, both. We’ll provide a certificate of insurance for commercial work on request.

How long have you been doing this?
We’re newer to window cleaning specifically, with five years of professional cleaning experience behind it. We’d rather tell you that than pretend otherwise.

What areas do you cover?
Fourteen cities from Carmichael, including Sacramento, Rocklin, Rancho Cordova, Roseville, Folsom, El Dorado Hills, and Auburn. Full list →

What if I’m outside your area?
Ask anyway. Past Auburn or Lincoln we can usually still come, it just costs more to get there.
