Window Cleaning in Lincoln, CA

Lincoln is one of the newest places we work, and a lot of the people who call us here have never hired a window cleaner before.

That’s not a criticism, it’s just what happens in a city that’s grown as fast as this one. People move into a new build, live in it for a few years, and eventually look at the upstairs glass or the haze on the front windows and think, is this something you hire out?

So this page is written a bit differently. It’s mostly about what actually happens when you book, because if you’ve never done it, that’s the part you want to know.

We’re Alex and Molly.

What happens when you book us

1. You send four photos. One of each side of your house, standing back far enough to get the whole wall in frame. Phone camera is fine. Text them to (916) 597-0257.

2. We send you a price. From those photos we count your windows, judge the height, see whether you have screens, and work out how we’d reach anything awkward. No one has to come out and no one is going to try to sell you anything at your door.

3. We agree a day. We work 7am to 6pm Monday through Friday, and we do Saturday appointments.

4. We turn up. It’s the two of us. Same two people, and the same two people next time.

5. We do the work. Both sides of the glass, the tracks, the sills, and the screens come out, get cleaned on site, and go back in the windows they came from. Mirrors too if you want them, just ask.

6. We walk the house before we leave. Every window we cleaned, checked again. Anything we find gets fixed while we’re still there.

7. You pay however suits you. Cash, check, bank transfer, any major card, Apple Pay, PayPal, Venmo, or Affirm if you’d rather spread it.

8. If something isn’t right, you call us and we come back. That’s the whole policy.

No minimum charge, no contract, and quotes are free.

What it doesn’t include

Being straight up front saves everyone a conversation later.

Hard water stain removal is separate. If your glass has mineral buildup from sprinklers, a standard cleaning won’t shift it. It’s slower work and it’s quoted on its own. We’ll tell you when we see it, before we start. More on that below.

We don’t repair screens. We clean them. Torn mesh or a bent frame, we’ll tell you and point you to someone who does that work.

We don’t clean solar panels. We clean solar screens, the mesh over your windows. Different thing entirely and they get mixed up constantly.

We don’t wash roofs.

The hard water question

This is the thing most likely to surprise a first-time customer, so it’s worth understanding before we arrive.

If your sprinklers throw water onto your windows, the water evaporates and leaves mineral behind. That starts within a day or two, and it builds every cycle. While the deposit sits on top of the glass it comes off. Left long enough it works into the glass itself, which is called etching, and etched glass can’t be cleaned back to clear by anyone.

You can check yours right now. Run your hand over the cloudy area.

  • Rough or gritty: deposit on the surface. Comes off.
  • Smooth but still cloudy: the glass is etched. Doesn’t come off.

If yours is etched, we’ll tell you that rather than charging for a cleaning that can’t succeed, and we’ll point you toward a company that resurfaces glass.

Lincoln homes are prone to it: newer landscaping getting watered heavily to establish, systems set when the yard went in and rarely revisited, big front elevations, and not much shade yet. The free fix is to walk the yard while the sprinklers run and turn any head that’s hitting the house.

Neighborhoods we work in

Sun City Lincoln Hills. Mostly single story with manageable window counts, which makes for straightforward visits and an easy schedule to keep. A lot of our customers in communities like this end up on a regular rhythm simply because it stops being something to think about.

Twelve Bridges. Newer construction, larger elevations, two stories, tall entry and stairwell glass, and the irrigation pattern described above.

Elsewhere in Lincoln, we come. Just ask.

The upstairs glass

If your house is two stories, this is probably why you’re reading this page.

Second story exteriors get done with a water fed pole from ground level. Purified water goes up the pole through a brush head, the glass gets scrubbed and rinsed, and it dries without spotting because there’s nothing in the water to leave behind. We stay on the ground, so there’s no ladder against your stucco or your gutters.

Tall interior glass over an entry or a staircase is the other common one, and in a newer Twelve Bridges home it’s often never been cleaned. Tell us the ceiling height and what’s underneath when you call, and we’ll come prepared and protect what’s below.

How often, once you’ve started

For most Lincoln homes, quarterly. Not because more is better, but because irrigation here means mineral deposits get a chance to establish otherwise.

If your sprinklers genuinely don’t reach the house and you don’t have much tree cover, twice a year is fine.

We’ll give you an honest read after the first visit. If quarterly is more than your house needs, we’ll say so.

Recurring customers get a discount. For homes it isn’t a fixed percentage since houses and schedules vary, so we set it with your quote. For businesses it’s 15% off weekly and 10% off monthly, no contract either way.

Why call us in Lincoln

We explain things. If this is your first time hiring for it, you shouldn’t have to guess what you’re buying.

Same two people, every visit. Alex and Molly.

We check every window before we leave. The most common complaint we hear about other companies is that the work wasn’t detailed enough. Walking the house at the end is the whole fix.

We tell you what can’t be done. Etched glass, brittle screens, a roof we won’t walk. Before we start, not after.

Licensed and insured.

Questions from Lincoln customers

I’ve never hired a window cleaner. What do I actually need to do?
Send four photos of your house, one per side, and tell us whether you want inside and out or just outside. That’s it.

Do I need to be home?
Not for exterior only, as long as we can get into the yard and the gates are unlocked. Interior work needs someone to let us in.

How long does it take?
A single story with a normal window count is a few hours. A two story with high interior glass and hard water is about half a day. We’ll tell you what to expect when we quote.

Are screens included?
Yes, usually. Cleaned on site and put back in the windows they came from.

Do you clean the tracks?
Yes, every window.

Is there a minimum charge?
No.

What if I’m not happy?
Call us and we’ll come back and fix it.

My windows look permanently hazy. Is that fixable?
Feel them. Rough means it comes off. Smooth but cloudy means the glass is etched and it doesn’t. We’ll tell you which you have before quoting anything.
